What is SIM Hosting?
SIM Hosting is a service in our US Cell Phone Plan that allows you to maintain a US phone number without needing a physical SIM card or eSIM activation. Instead of inserting a SIM into your device, we host and manage the SIM on our network, keeping your number active and accessible without any setup on your end.
This service is designed for users who want a hassle-free alternative to traditional SIMs while ensuring uninterrupted access to their phone number.
Why is There a Hosting Fee?
SIM Hosting requires ongoing network maintenance and infrastructure management. The hosting fee covers the cost of keeping your number active, ensuring seamless network access without any action required from you.
How is the Hosting Fee Charged?
The hosting fee follows your subscription billing cycle and is charged alongside your regular plan fee. It applies in the following cases:
- When you first subscribe to a SIM Hosting plan.
- When you renew your subscription—even if your first subscription was during the promotional period.
- When your subscription expires and is later reactivated.
For example, if you sign up for a monthly SIM Hosting plan during the promotion, the hosting fee is waived for the first month. However, when your plan renews the following month, the hosting fee will be charged at the standard rate, even if the promotion is still ongoing.
Limited-Time Promotion: Free Hosting Fee for New Subscriptions
As a limited-time promotion for the new launch, new subscriptions will not be charged a hosting fee. However, this waiver only applies to first-time subscriptions.
- If you renew or reactivate a SIM Hosting subscription during the promotion, the hosting fee will still be charged at the regular rate.
- Once the promotion ends, all new subscriptions will be charged the standard hosting fee.
- If you subscribed during the promotion, the hosting fee will start being applied from your next billing cycle after the promo period ends.
